Hi everyone,

Apologies that MoneyTalk has been on holiday! From now on MoneyTalk will appear monthly in your inbox with general updates on what our union members are up to in the finance sector. In the intervening weeks we will update members within each bank with any urgent news or where feedback is required.

Last week BNZ Union Councillors met with senior management at BNZ to discuss core issues affecting our members. An email update went out to members about this yesterday. Please email us here for a copy.

BNZ Union councillors will be conducting visits in BNZ stores and call centres during the month of April. This is a good opportunity for members to raise any concerns and ask questions about your rights at work.

A considerable number of members have raised concerns about the Voice of Customer survey, and we continue to challenge the use of VOC at our meeting with senior management next Tuesday. If you have any further feedback on this please contact us .

Other items on the agenda include : Targets for Asian banking , Sick leave accumulation and Delay of CAS reviews. What else would you like the ANZ Union Council to raise at the forum with the Bank next Tuesday? Contact us.

The Union and Westpac have now completed this round of Collective Agreement bargaining. The Union bargaining team was disappointed with Westpac’s overall response across the table, and we are now waiting to receive the Bank’s final offer.  Once this has been received we will then be in a position to set up ratification meetings where members can vote on the offer. Your organiser will be in touch with you to advise when your ratification meeting will be as soon as possible. It is important attendance is high at these meetings.
